Working Cubes are a lower starch alternative to many 'horse & pony mixes' and are also often referred to as “a half strength Top Line Conditioning Cube” offering some of the same benefits but with a lower energy level and higher fibre content.  They can also be fed alongside Lo-Cal balancer or Performance Balancer, to horses in harder work for whom a higher energy mix or cube may provide too many calories, causing them to gain weight or exacerbating an excitable temperament.
